Through the Living the Called Life workshop, I learned that God has a plan and a direction for me. The materials revealed my God-given talents; I now have a scripture verse to keep me focused, and a life wheel to keep my life in check. This class has given me the opportunity to see just where God wants me to be. And how important it is to keep Him in the forefront of my life, actively following His word and giving back to those less fortunate.

Losing my last job, which drained me and was a daily struggle, left me defeated, unprepared and broke. Once I found PurposeWorks, I completely redid my resume for today’s market. They helped me realize that I really did have a number of marketable skills; I just needed to package them effectively to sell myself. I took advantage of all the training JSN offers, including the Design & Focus workshop. This gave me a huge confidence boost and clear leading for my search. Each week, I left the Monday meetings encouraged to find a job that was a fit for my gifting. It took a while, but I did find that better fitting job and now I have fulfillment in my work – a luxury I thought I would never have.

Before taking the Living the Called Life class, when I was offered a position that I felt wasn't the right role for me, I would have taken it out of fear. I have done this in the past, but now I know I want to include my leadership and administration gifts. I want to live my life in a different way and invite God into every aspect of my life. I look forward to finding the role that needs my particular gifts, and I am glad to have this opportunity to invite God to walk with me each day.

Before coming to PurposeWorks, I was feeling overwhelmed by scope of job search and inadequate due to lack of traditional corporate job experience. PurposeWorks helped me move beyond my low point with prayer and encouraging me that I have something to offer. The PurposeWorks team helped me to narrow my search to jobs I could get excited about, jobs that would play towards my strengths. PurposeWorks met me right where I was. I was going through all my stages of separation from my employer, as my job moved out of town. The PurposeWorks team prayed for me and provided valuable resources and passionate people.
